If we link a part of an Excel worksheet into a Powerpoint presentation, save it, then change Office language, open back the Powerpoint presentation, it asks to update the links.. when we update the links it modifies the links incorrectly (typically selecting the whole worksheet instead of just the selected cells). This is a kind of data corruption because there is no error message and the presentation does not show the original content anymore.

This seems to be related to the naming of Rows/Columns that are different between languages, but part of the link "wording". This is a problem when sending the presentation to someone who has a different language than the presentation's creator.

Is there any solution to this ?

do not use linked excel via ppt, try to insert the excel as an object to ppt.
