Hi Tatiana,

Based on your description, could you tell me when you receive the pop-up message what were you doing? I tested it in my own environment and I got the pop-up message as shown in the following figure. Was this the same pop-up message you got in your excel file?

If yes, this message pop-up when I drag something from one part of a worksheet to another. If there's already something in that destination cell, Excel asks me if I'm sure I want to do this.

If you dont want to receive this message you can turn off the feature in excel:

  1. Click File
  2. Click the Options button
  3. Click Advanced
  4. Remove the check mark from Alert before overwriting cells, then click OK

If you pop-up message is different from me, please upload a screenshot and be a bit more precise explain when did you get this message, if this pop-up message have an effect on your file etc. So that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.

Hope its helpful.

Regards,

Hi Tatiana,

Thanks for your reply. Based on your message dialog box, I cant reproduce your issue. You said this message pop-up when you open an Excel file.

Did you check if this issue also appeared in safe mode?

First I suggest you check if it works fine in safe mode.

Then you can check if this message still pop-up in other uses computer.

Did your excel file contain links, formulas, etc.? Please check if these contents in your excel file works fine.

I suggest you can upload a sample via OneDrive.

Or if possible, you could send this file to our email address:

ibsofc@microsoft.com I'd like to help you check it.

Please Note: The email subject you should use the URL or the Title Name of your case.

And you please be a bit more precise explain your issue (For example what were you donging when you get this message, and where did the file store, if this issue only appeared in only a particular file, etc.?) so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem. Im glad to help and follow up your reply.
