We are running into problems with the Excel Data Mining Add-ins. We connect off to a SSAS instance and are able to run a number of procedures like Key Influencers, etc. When we run the Associate procedure (on a data set with 12,000 records), Excel connects to SSAS and begins processing, but it never returns. If we cancel out, Excel closes down and then the Data Mining Add-ins stop working. We can re-enable the add-ins under Options > Add-ins > COM-Addins, but the Data Mining procedures/wizards no longer allow us to select tables nor do they see existing tables. On SSAS, we can see that the data mining structures are there, but losing the ability to use the Addins and reconnect to SSAS is bothersome.

System and Excel details follow:

OS: Windows 8.1
Excel: Excel 2013 15.0.4737.1000 MSO (15.0.4737.1001) 64-bit
Data Mining Add-ins: Installed the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 SP1 Data Mining Add-ins for Microsoft Office (64-bit) from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=35578
