Excel 2010 - 2016, wrong Date after insert

Hello,

I don't think the problem is Excel, but rather Outlook's annoying way to display dates and times differently depending on how long ago the date stamp was. Times only for recent dates, day and month without time for dates a few days ago, full dates with year, but no time, for dates further in the past.

If this is copied and pasted into Excel, then that is all Excel is getting.

can you reproduce the problem in your environment

Yes, I can.  You can edit the view settings and change the "Received" column to always show the full date and time. Steps for Outlook 2013:

- With the list of emails open, click the View ribbon

- click "View Settings" (second icon from the left on the View ribbon)

- click "Format columns" (second button from the bottom)

- Select the "Received" field and then select a format that shows all the components you desire

Outlook now shows that date format for every email and that will also show in Excel when pasted.
