Excel: File/Share/Email/Send as Attachment Outlook 2013 Issue

I've noticed this mostly with Excel, and the problem is intermittent.

  • When emailing an Excel file from within the file (File/Share/Email/Send as attachment), a portion of the file overlays the address section of the mail message box (unable to see To, CC, Subject)
  • Closing the message and trying again doesn't resolve
  • No add-ins loaded / using HTML as compose message type
  • This has happened to me since using OLK2013, but I've ignored it
  • We have rolled out MSO2013 to all staff, and now other staff members (about 6 at this time) are complaining of the same issue

Hi vgladst,

Based on your description, when you email Excel file as attachment the To, CC and Subject of Outlook disappeared.

This is a strange issue and I cant reproduce your issue. I suppose if this issue is caused by no response or slow response. I suggest you uncheck Disable hardware graphics acceleration option in Outlook, and check if it works for you.

You can go to File- Options- Advanced- Display and uncheck this option.

If this issue still exists, please upload a screenshot so that I can get more accurate solutions to this problem.

If you have no verified to post the screenshot, I suggest you upload the screenshot via OneDrive.

Or you could send this screenshot to our email address:

ibsofc@microsoft.com I'd like to help you check it.

Please Note: The email subject you should use the URL or the Title Name of your case.

Hope its helpful.

Thanks - I will try disabling the graphics acceleration on mine and at least one other system having this issue. It is difficult to reproduce, as it is intermittent in occurrence. I'll send a screenshot to the referenced email, as the system states I'm not verified to send a pix.

George - actually, the graphics acceleration is already disabled on my system as well as one of the people I've been working with. I've sent the screenshot to the email address as you suggested. Thanks for anything else you might be able to figure out.
