ExMerge Usage Limit...
Good day guys, I would like to know and confirm if there is a Usage Limit of using ExMerge? Before I can easily use ExMerge Utility when Exporting and Importing each and every Mailboxes to .PST but suddenly I have notice that all of every Mailboxes to convert to .PST files all are "Failed". I have read some of the documentation that there is a 2GB Limit is this true, or can we adjust this 2GB Limit to use ExMerge again because I easily and comfortable to use a Brick Level Backup of Mailboxes to .PST file, I have with me a total of all Mailboxes of 10GB (priv1.edb) is this a reason why I cannot use ExMerge. Any Suggestions, Recommendation, and any related links that would help and it will be appreciated. Thanks and Regards,

Exchange 2003 Exmerge is used to Export the mailbox contents. In Exchange 2007/2010 the Export-Mailbox cmdlet is used to export all the mailbox contents which can export more than 2GB. Example From this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998579.aspx Export-Mailbox -Identity john@contoso.com -TargetMailbox ExportMailbox -TargetFolder MyData If it is Exchange 2007 organization, then the 32-bit management tools have to be installed to export the mailboxes using the cmdlet. The 2GB limit is caused by the fact the ExMerge only supports ANSI PST files which has a 2GB limit. Once an ANSI PST file exceeds the 2GB limit is becomes corrupt and unusable. Lucid8's DigiScope supports Exchange 2010, 2007, 2003, 2000 and 5.5 http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp and supports the ANSI PST format but overcomes the 2GB limit by providing the ability to Export or Import Unicode based PST files which have a 20GB limit. Additionally; DigiScope allows you to read raw offline EDB files without the need to use Recovery Storage Groups etc. Once opened you can Browse and View any Mailbox, Folder, or Individual eMail, Appointment/Calendar, Task or other Messaging item or Attachment. You can also Search specific mailboxes or the entire database for items meeting your criteria You can Export the entire database, or just specific Mailboxes, Folders or Individual items or the Search Results to PST, MSG or XML formats Or if desired you can move data directly from an Offline EDB to the mailboxes, folders within the original Exchange Server or to any other Online Production Exchange Servers Mailbox, Folder DigiScope can also undelete hard deleted items OR Delete/Purge unwanted items and attachments from your live Exchange server Troy Werelius Lucid8
