Our policy is 90 day for deleted items, 365 for the inbox, 180 days for sent items and any other folder is 365 days. We dont want to touch the calendar, contacts, notes or tasks. But in Ex2007 it did touch these folders and Ex2003 didnt. Seems that if a default folder doesnt have a policy, then the entire mailbox policy will be applied to them. Here is a sentence from the help file . If a default folder in the mailbox is not linked to a managed folder mailbox policy, then the "entire mailbox " policy will apply to that default folder.. since we do not want these folders touched by the policy, can I delete them and would they reappear after a period of time? Alos if I can delete them, does it mean that the entire mailbox policy will leave them alone. Thanks! Normand A. Champagne

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but all mailbox manager policies must be removed before Exchange 2007 enters the organization. This is a prerequisite for installation. Mike Crowley A+, Network+, Security+, MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator
