Event IDs 9331, 9360 and the oabinteg.exe
Howdy, I am having an issue with my exchange box. Everyday at the appointed time for the Default Offline Address List is set to update (5:30 a.m.) , I get the following errors: ______________________________________________________________________________________________Event ID: 9331OALGen encountered error 80004005 (internal ID 50303dc) accessing the public folder store while generating the offline address list for address list '\Global Address List'. - Default Offline Address List Followng that, I get Event ID: 9360OALGEN ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR WHILE GENERATING THE CHANGES.OAB FILE FO VERSION 2 AND 3 DIFFERENTIAL DOWNLOADS OF ADDRESS LIST '\GLOBAL ADDRES LIST'. THE OFFLINE ADDRESS LIST HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED SO CLIENTS WIL NOT BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE CURRENT SET OF CHANGES. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ I found a forum in which I found two other people having the same issue, the common thread was Sunbelt Ninja. http://forums.techarena.in/showthread.php?t=785734 . (Sunbelt claims that their product could not cause this issue.) For me, the problem started when I was up at 5:30ish, I had my outlook open on my laptop. Remember, this is thetime the Default Offline Address List update interval is set to run. Now, it happens everyday at the same time. Our Citrix users don't see any problems, but ourlaptop users (connecting via https) seetheirOutlook Send/Receive Progressprogress hang on Offline address book Connecting to Exchange Server. We did have another exchange box that I removed, but that event took place months before this happened. I read all the articles, and didn't find any residue of the old server. I would like to know if there is a diagnostic tool or process that would give me an insight to what is happening. I tried running OABIntg. ________________________________________________________________________________________ oabinteg.exe /surserver /taltest But I get this message. Failure: ADsOpenObjectasdi Error: hr=0x8007203a - LDAP_SERVER_down - ERROR_DS_SERVER_DOWN: Cannot contact the LDAP server.Function: HrGetRootDSEDataLine Number: 177Unable to obtain the configuration container. __________________________________________________________________________________________ Any help finding a diagnostic processto help me figure out what is going on would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you have made sure that the OAB is pointing to correct Exchange server. and also when you right click on public folders and click on system folders you are able to see all 3 OAB folders such as oab v2 oab v3 and oab v4 Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hi All.many thanks about your helpI solved this problem.I change registry following:Look for the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\VirusScan and set "Enabled" to a value of 0. Stop and restart the exchange services. After you change this key. NO error when user synch and no error in event view on the server.I hope that you solve your problem.
