Event IDs 1121 and 2130 in Exchange 2010
I am receiving application errors 1121 and 2130 on my Exchange 2010 CAS/HTS servers. Here is the 1121 message: The Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service was unable to process a request due to an unexpected error. Request GUID: 'a609a54b-1c13-45c6-9450-75b05d512b07' Database GUID: '972688c6-b912-471a-9588-748121b02870' Error: Unable to read from Active Directory. --> Could not find any available Domain Controller in domain DC=mydomain,DC=root,DC=com.. The message for 2130 is similar. The "mydomain" referenced was a child domain off our root domain. It no longer exists which is why no domain controller can be found. I can't find any reference to this domain within exchange, so where is the replication service getting this from and how can I remove the references? Thanks, Paul

Version 14.1 (Build 218.15) I saw a lot of messages related to SP1. This deployment was built with SP1.

Well you have server 1 & 2 in the site so there shouldn't be issues, you have plenty Out of Site. Maybe try a SP2 upgrade.Sukh

All Exchange 2010 servers have been restarted since that child domain has been removed.

All Exchange 2010 servers have been restarted since that child domain has been removed. Ok, It appears that you have some lingering mailbox move requests hanging around. This seems to be an issue that crops up periodically. Do you see those GUIDs looking at : Get-moverequeststatistics? ( and maybe remove any completed requests)

Hi Paul, What's your exchange server version and SP? It may be related to the SP. If convenient please upgrade it and give it a try. Thanks. Rowen TechNet Community Support
