Event ID 4 while attempting to access Mobile Devices list in ECP/OWA

Hi Community!

We just recently setup an Exchange 2013 (CU6) environment migrating away from Exchange 2010.  Our 2013 environment has 1 Mailbox server and 1 Client Access Server.  Everything appears to be functioning correctly between 2010 & 2013, except when attempting to access the Mobile Device list from a user account within Exchange Admin Center in 2013.  We receive an error 400 Outlook Web App Options and Event ID 4 on the Mailbox Server.

OWA Error 400 when selecting the edit button

Hi,

RBAC roles were not fully Installed during installation or it failed during PrepareAD

Please follow these steps to solve this issue.

  1. Launch the Windows PowerShell
  2. Run Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.*
  3. Run the command Install-CannedRBACRoles cmdlet to install the out-of-the-box RBAC roles.
  4. Run the command Install-CannedRBACRoleAssignments

I have this problem, but your steps did not resolve it? Do I then need to restart services?

I still have the same issue when accessing this via ECP / Admin. What I did notice was, when accessing these settings from OWA via user's account the page comes up fine and the user account is able to make changes / see the info.

I still get this issue the first time I try. I click sign out, sign back in, close that OWA session and the re-click 'details' in original ECP screen and it all works. I am on CU7 and still the same.
