I've just started getting an Event ID 4999 error in my Application logs within the last couple of days. It relates to MSExchange Common; we're not experiencing any usability issues with Exchange. Has anyone seen this error before? I was thinking it could be a bug Running Exchange Server 2007 version 08.01.0436.000

Yeah you are way behind. Install the SP3, reboot then install RU 7. It could be a bug or compatibility with third party apps since you are behind, you may have updated your third party apps and they conflict...
