Hi, First I’d like to know how many Exchange Server in the network? Have you installed the update on all the Exchange Servers? Do you have anti-virus installed on the exchange Server? Please try to disable the anti-virus application services and then re-boot the server. After that please check the issue again. Thanks Xiu...! We have only one Exchange Server....! Trend Micro was our Anti Virus Product...! I disabled all the trend Micro Services ,restarted the server and tried to run the backup still ended up with EventID 3005 and 3007 Unexpected Exchange mailbox Server error: Server: [ServerName] User: [User] HTTP status code: [400]. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly. Exchange mailbox Server response timeout: Server: [ServerName] User: [User]. Exchange ActiveSync Server failed to communicate with the Exchange mailbox server in a timely manner. Verify that the Exchange mailbox Server is working correctly and is not overloaded. I also noticed the following messages pop up in http Error Log (C:\WINDOWS\system32\LogFiles\HTTPERR) exchange-oma/EmailAddress/NON_IPM_SUBTREE/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync/PocketPC/918359AD10F65D40030747ABC7BCC277/AutdState.xml - 1 Connection_Dropped ExchangeApplicationPool When I get these messages either I have ot restart the server or restart the IIS Admin Service. This is so weired....! Thanks Rao

Thanks Xiu, It's a normal back like its described in the article except I don't see the Disable Volume shadow Service is greyed out...! I've been taking backups almost every night with out any problem prior to installing these patches...! Thanks Rao

I think I figured it out its happening because of the huge Database Size once the DB size goes beyond 100GB (approx) and SCANMAIL 1. I created an other Storage group and moved users to that group. 2. I did an offline defrag for the first DB 3. I also have ScanMAIL 8 installed on the server . I have to stop the scan mail to take the backup. This is the main problem something changed in the last update which probably corrupted the scan mail settings...! If you take the backup to the local machine you don't see any problem it only happens when you take the backup to Network. Currently I disabled the ScanMail and taking network backup succesfully...! Thanks....! Rao
