EventID 2937 Exchange 2013 CU9 MSExchangeADAccess

We had our 2013 cu9 mailbox server crash on us today. After it came backup I noticed several warnings about the database objects pointing to the deleted objects container in active directory. I have seen others mention this in Exchange 2010, but we are running 2013 CU9 and have never run 2010. We upgraded from 2007. There are two different warnings involved. One is property for PublicFolderDatabse for the email databases and powershell. The other mentioned the MTA on smarthost connector:

Process
Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Service.exe (PID=5956). Object [CN=Smarthost
connector,CN=Connections,CN=Exchange Routing Group (GUID),CN=Routing
Groups,CN=Exchange Administrative Group (GUID),CN=Administrative
Groups,CN=<org>,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com]. Property
[HomeMtaServerId] is set to value [domain.com/Configuration/Deleted
Objects/Microsoft MTA<o:p></o:p>

DEL:ec419488-5ae1-4981-baf3-831d031a84a8],
it is pointing to the Deleted Objects container in Active Directory. This
property should be fixed as soon as possible.<o:p></o:p>

Here is one
of the other warnings:<o:p></o:p>

Process Microsoft.Exchange.RpcClientAccess.Service.exe
(PID=5956). Object [CN=Mailbox Database 01,CN=Databases,CN=Exchange
Administrative Group (guid),CN=Administrative
Groups,CN=<Org>,CN=Microsoft
Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=com]. Property
[PublicFolderDatabase] is set to value [domain.com/Configuration/Deleted Objects/Public
Folders<o:p></o:p>

DEL:edbc1edb-0c9f-48f2-b661-a038ba80d6d1], it is pointing
to the Deleted Objects container in Active Directory. This property should be
fixed as soon as possible.<o:p></o:p>

I have seen that I need to use ADSI Edit to modify a value for the public folders, but I ma
not sure which one. <o:p></o:p>

I have also seen there is a command to run for the MTA related warning, but again not sure which one.<o:p></o:p>

Any help is greatly appreciated!<o:p></o:p>

I haven't seen the first one before, but it looks like it's a connector that has a bad property.  One thing you could do is record the settings of the connector, remove it and create a new one with the same settings.  Or you could try to find a valid MTA DN and replace the value with that.  I think the attribute you're looking for here is homeMTA.

For the second one, you can just blank the PublicFolderDatabase property, which I believe is attribute msExchHomePublicMDB.
