Even adding a group and granting full access permission, group´s members can´t access the mailbox contents
I created a universal group and granted full access permission. The objective is that the group´s members have access to open and read mailbox messages. When I try to open another user´s mailbox, I receive an error: The inbox folder could not be found. If I explicitely add user´s account, it works... Why it´s not working with groups? In outlook it should work fine. However you can have problem if you are trying accessing the mailbox through OWA, as far as I remember OWA does not care about permissions grated by universal group membershipWith kind regards Krystian Zieja http://www.projectnenvision.com Follow me on twitter My Blog

I ran the command "Get-Mailbox | Add-MailboxPermission -User 'DOMAIN\GROUPNAME' -InheritanceType 'All' -AccessRights 'FullAccess'" but it doesnt work for me. My account is member of the group, but, when I try to open another users´s mailbox an error apears. Regards, Yuri Poloni.

How long did you wait? Store caches group memberships.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

I didn't wait long enough I guess. I thought an hour would have been enough. I let it sit over the weekend and it is working now. Do you know how long it should take to cache? I used a Global Security group. Thanksw0rd

If you're doing it via security group membership, it also will not work until your next logon after having been added to the group. [string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "
