Error with new-EdgeSubscription
Hi there,I'm gettting the following error when I run the new-EdgeSubscription cmdlet on my new Edge Server server/guest. It is the same as my full Exchange server/guest, with the exception of being Windows Server 2008 x64 Standard instead of Enterprise:New-EdgeSubscription : The task couldn't add the certificate to the ADAM directory service store. Error: Access is denied..At line:1 char:21+ New-EdgeSubscription <<<< -FileName Z:\Exchange\NewSub.xml -Site mysite.orgBarnaby Duncan

Hi Sergey,The account I'm using is the single "Exchange Organization Administrator" for this domain, that same account that has setup the other server roles. That does raise the question though--should the edge-tranport server be a member of the domain, and if now, then what account should I use to create the subscription file?Barnaby Duncan

Hi Barnaby,
To run the New-EdgeSubscription cmdlet on a computer that has the Edge Transport server role installed, you also must log on by using an account that is a member of the local Administrators group on that computer.
Does the Edge server join the domain? Please understand you should install Edge transport server on a standalone server that is not part of domain. Please check the following thread:

hi ,1. try to delete exchange self signed certificate from MMC console.2. Create new Certificate. ( New-edgecertificate).3. the account that u r using must be local admin on the edge server.4. create New edge subscribtion (.xml file).5. Copy this file to the HUB server.6.on the hub server use exchange admin account to make the edge subscription on hub.7. then on hub server open the exchange shell & run start-edgesynchronization.check the result.
