Error while creating new mailbox in Exchange Server 2007
We have cerated a new server with Exchaneg Server 2007 x64 Edition. Everything was working fine during the test period. Now when we are supposed to make the server live we have to create certain mailboxes of new added users. While creating new mailboxes its giving an error 'The exchange server address list service failed to respond. This could be because of an address list or email address policy configuration error.' We tried to modify and delete Email Address Policy, its coming back with the same error. Please help urgently as our deployment is stuck because of this. Regards, Nzm.

I am receiving the same error when trying to create mailboxes. I have tried to remove the mailbox role and reinstall it only to have this message come up during installation now. Anyone have any clues?

I am having the same problem on a brand new install of Windows Server 2008 without Hyper-V 64-bit and new install of Exchange 2007 with SP1. I have tried all of the tips found on the Net for the past year with no luck. System Attendant is running and restarting it does not make the error go away.************** SOLVED *******************My issue was a leap year bug late last night and today. Changed the time forward 1 day, restarted the System Attendant, and BAM! Mailbox creation worked! Who would have thought my timing was this bad. After you get the first maibox created, I was able to set the time back to Feb 29th and it worked fine.

I set my clock, on the Exchange server, ahead one day and restarted the SA and like you said BAM! I am able create new mailboxes again. I have been scratching my head trying to resolve this issue for about 2 hours. Thanks again!

I'm having the same problem creating a new mailbox user. I've checked my server's date and time and they're both correct. does anyone else have a solution for this issue? **************************Solved***************************************************************************************************** Just got off the phone with Microsoft and they said even though our servers rolled over to the right date exchange 2007 still didn't like it. We restarted the system attendant and it's working fine now.
