I'm trying to use the Visio 2010 Org Chart Wizard using data from an Excel file.  When I get to the point of importing the data from Excel, I get an error message that says "Unable to read names from your file."  I tried exporting and existing org chart to Excel then importing it back in, but I get the same error.  I'm on the most-current release of Visio 2010.  Has anyone else seen or solved this problem?

It sounds like the column names in the excel file aren't using the correct format. Take a look at the sample excel file that comes with Visio and compare it to your version of the information. It should be somewhere near here

Thanks for your quick response.  I tried opening this file:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\Visio Content\1033\ORGDATA.XLS and got the same error message.  I was able to use the .txt file though.  It's a strange problem!
