Error running /preparead when isntalling exchange 2010
I am installing Exchange 2010 on a Windows 2008 R2 Server. This is a fresh install of 2008 R2, as the old operating system broke beyone repair, couldnt even run dcpromo to remove it from the AD. I deleted all relevant entries in AD that I could see, rebooted, and now when I run the setup /prepareAD I get this message: The following error was generated when "$error.Clear(); initialize-ExchangeUniversalGroups -DomainController $RoleDomainController" was run: "The well-known obj ect entry B:32:C262A929D691B74A9E068728F8F842EA:CN=Organization Management\0ADEL:c7e97a03-30c8-4537-9597-011752eb72e0,CN=Deleted Objects,DC=ptcswindon,DC=org,DC=uk on the otherWellKnownObjects attribute in the container object CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=ptcswindon,DC=org,DC=uk points to an invalid DN or a deleted object. Remove the entry, and then rerun the task.". There are a few topics that relate to this, but I can't quite work out what I have to do, as I can't find half the stuff that I am meant to delete in ldp.exe/adsiedit.mmc There are two servers, one running AD, and file services etc, and this one running a replication, and trying to get exchange working on it. Please help. Chris

I did find that thread whilst looking before posting, but got as far as I could, then it just confused the ____ out of me, I'd be willing to let someone TeamView the server to take a look. Chris

I'm sorry, I've never had to use Microsoft Help before, how do I go about opening a ticket? I saw some of the support options, but what? You have to pay to get help with an product you just spent a fortune on? Chris
