Error opening Managment console with Exchange 2007 SP1
Hi, I successfully installed Exchange 2007 SP1 mailbox server role. After installation, when I tried to open"Mailbox Server Configuration" from theExchange Management console, I get an MMC erroras follows: "MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it." The information about exception thrown is as follows: "This snap-in performed a non-valid operation and has been unloaded. To continue working with this snpa-in, restart MMC or try loading the snap-in again. Exception: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException Exception Message: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Server stack trace: .... ......" Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue. Thanks.

GL, the only people who know about this problem are the ones experiencing it, like you and I. Everybody will just keep avoiding your post and mine in the meantime.

I experience this issue all the time as well. Usually when I'm in management console and open the properties of one of the mailboxes or contacts and click "accounts" tab but not exclusively there as I also get this message sometimes when exiting Queue Viewer and Troubleshooter tool. Majority of times however is when I'm working with mailbox accounts in the Exchange Management Console GUI.

Hi, I had the same problem, in my case execute the Best Practices Analyzertool to verify the status of my server and i found the following problem: Offline Address Book definition is missing The 'msExchUseOAB' value for mailbox store 'Mailbox Database.edb' on server EXCHANGE is missing. This will cause offline address book errors for 2 users in this database. In the First Storage Group i have mountedtwo databases. The database of the initial installation (Mailbox Database.edb)and another database with mailboxes that were restored. For some reason the Offline Address Book on "Mailbox Database.edb" was not set, to resolve this problem follow the link that showed me the Best Practices Analyzer Tool. Offline address book is not associated with a particular mailbox store http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997667.aspx I have not seen the problem again.... Best Regards,
