Created a visio diagram in 2003.  Diagram contains hyperlinks to other files.  Saved the visio diagram as a .htm.  When selecting the hyperlink from within IE8, the following error message is received "Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site ... {file path... vml_1.htm}.  Operation aborted"  The hyperlinked page does actually open but the error message is still apparent in the front of the screen.  I don't want to have to keep closing down the error message window.  Is there something i am doing wrong?  My colleague, who is using visio 2010 follows exactly the same procedure as i do to create these htm files and he has no issues with hyperlinks.  However, i am not yet due an upgrade to 2010 so i need it to work in 2003.  Any ideas?

Based on my research, this issue occurs when you use the Vector Markup Language (VML) output format in the Save as Web Page feature of Visio 2003.

We need to install the service pack or follow the steps in the following link to solve the issue.
