Error connecting accounts using Mailbox recovery center Exchange 2003 SP2
I am doing disaster recovery testing in our test lab. I have completed the entire restore and confirmed thatall of mailbox storesare mounted. I go to MailboxRecovery Center and add a mailbox store andthen find a match for the user accounts, this works fine but when I try to reconnect the the user account to the mailbox I get the following error: the operation cannot be performed because this mailbox was already connected to an existing user. I have repeatedly removed exchange attributes. I am also getting Event ID 929. I have followed the resolution on the 929 error by checking permissions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you creating new users in your test environment? I'd suggest restoring AD as well as Exchange for a DR test.

I havealso retored the Domain and all users from the same tape as my Exchange restore. Not sure what to try next except restore the entire test lab again. This process worked when we did our disaster recovery testing at our testing site, not sure what is different in our test lab. Thanks

Sounds like there is some communication between your test lab and production.

I am wondering if maybe I have an issue with one of the 5domain controllers I have restored in the test lab. Possibly some communication or replication issue. I am going to restore the domain and email again and see if I have the same problem. Thanks for your help
