Error 500 on OWA running on Exchange 2000
Hi,
I'm getting the HTTP 500 error message when accessing OWA. The Exchange 2000 SP3 is running on Hyper-V and has been working fine for quite some time.
Steps that have been done are the following:
- Restart IIS
- Restart Exchange Services
- Restart Exchange server.
This affect only the old users, any account/mailbox that is created after the issue occured has no problem.

Lex

Hi,
Just to update on this. The issue only happens on some users and not all. This is regardless what IE browser they are using.
I have done the MSKB below:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;311766
I accidentally fixed one user by checking the anonymous logon in his virtual directory and restarting IIS (then I can browse), I then unchecked it again then restart IIS and the issue was fixed. This step does not work for other users though. I have
no problem browsing public folders.

Lex

Hi,
Please try to create new OWA virtual directory and see if the issue persists:
