Error 403 no access - /ecp - after SP1 Upgrade - Exchange 2010
hi,
yesterday I did my rollout of Exchange 2010 SP1. Everything seems fine and it works, too.
But when I try to use the /ecp with my owa, to activate OOF-Messages or somethin, I get this site:
"Access denied - 403"
It's an IIS error page. Tried to restart the IIS and checked the rights on virtual directories. /owa and /ecp are havin the same rights.
Edit:
Test-EcpConnectivity runs in an error - no access on testuser 'extest_19a7a2baf1e74' can I do this test with another user?
with Test-Outlookwebservices I can change the user...
Thanks for your help.
kind regards

Hi,
Verify that you configured below virtual directories with basic and integrated authentication only:
- exchange
- exchweb
- public
- exadmin
I hope this will help you.

hi,
thanks for your help!
exchange, exchweb and public are still here, but I lost exadmin?! when I try to open the authentification section of one of these virtual directories, I get the following error (I'm using an german exchange, so I will try to translate it as good as possible...
sorry)
Error on execution of the procedure.
Details:
filename: \\?\C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\owa\web.config
rownumber: 37
Error: Configurationsection must not defined under application.
Behind the auth-types I see only "Status will be called..."
I will try to find out what's up with this file and the row 37... but If you have a solution, please let me know ;)
kind regards and thanks for help

Hi,
there's no event error. I tried to find out whats wrong with the web.config file.
I deleted for tests the row 37 ("authentication = Windows") Now I can open the Authentication Sections and do configurations.
But the error I recieved, when I try to open /ecp is still active!
Thanks, regards

Hi,
found a solution.
In the EMC you can relocate your virtual directories. I did this for my /ecp.
Now it works fine, again.
EMC -> Serverconfiguration -> clientaccess -> right click on your exchange server -> "relocate virtual directories..."
Important: you should document your configuration for your /ecp (maybe your IIS and TMG, too)
Thanks for your help.
