Error "Please check that SMTP Receive Connection Exists"
Hi all,
I'm not an exchange guy but I am trying to get it running on a hyper V machine that I am using for some MOSS development. I am having an issue with SharePoint not being able to send email to users I have set up. The users can send email to each other (I have set up a seperate profile for each user on the machine and I use Outlook 2007 to send and receive messeages) but whenever SharePoint tries to send a message I get an error saying it has failed.
From what I understand of exchange I need to set up a SMTP Receive connector that will allow SharePoint to send the SMPT messages to the server for delivery. Whenever I try to set one of these up, no matter what parameters I used I get this error message: "please check that SMTP Receive Connectors exists"
Just ali ttle info on my environment. I have everything running on one machine (Server 2008 with exahcne 2007 SP1, SQL 2008 and MOSS 2007 all running on the one box which has a single labeled domain name (DEVELOPMENT)).
If anyone has any ideas that might help that would be awesome.
Thanks
