Equipment defaults to Required Attendee

I was wondering if the following behavior is a bug in Outlook/Exchange or an incorrect setting of a resource mailbox. When creating a meeting invite (via New Meeting Request) and enter both a resource mailbox that is flagged as Room (room icon in the Address Book) and Equipment (projector screen icon), only the Room defaults to the green Resource (Room or Equipment) when looking at the Scheduling Assistant.  So every time I book an equipment, I have to change that setting.

I understand that I could use the To... button and then select the resource with the Resources -> button but I'm curious why the equipment doesn't default to the Resource (Room or Equipment).

This is with Exchange and Outlook 2010.

Hello -

This is happening for all resource mailboxes flagged set up as Equipment instead of Room (i.e. projector screen icon instead of door in the Address Book).

Yes, I can add the resource using the Resource -> button and it'll show as Resource (Room or Equipment) but I mostly set up meeting requests by entering all attendees including the resource in the field next to the To... button with Show set to Appointment. Alternatively, I add them in under Show > Scheduling Assistant (using Ctrl+K) in the All Attendees field. Neither time, the Equipment defaults to the correct Resource (Room or Equipment). This works fine for a Room.
