Equipment defaults to Required Attendee

I was wondering if the following behavior is a bug in Outlook/Exchange or an incorrect setting of a resource mailbox. When creating a meeting invite (via New Meeting Request) and enter both a resource mailbox that is flagged as Room (room icon in the Address Book) and Equipment (projector screen icon), only the Room defaults to the green Resource (Room or Equipment) when looking at the Scheduling Assistant.  So every time I book an equipment, I have to change that setting.

I understand that I could use the To... button and then select the resource with the Resources -> button but I'm curious why the equipment doesn't default to the Resource (Room or Equipment).

This is with Exchange and Outlook 2010.

Hi,

I don't think it's a bug since I can add the equipment and it displays "Resource (Room or Equipment)" with no problem.

Does this issue occur to one specific mailbox? Or all equipment mailboxes?

I haven't found such setting on Outlook yet, if it only occurs to one mailbox, you need to check the mailbox policies on Exchange Server side.

Kindly let me know the answer so I can provide further suggestions.
