Equipment Mailbox - Conflict replying with Tentative
Just starting to work with the Exchange 07 resource mailboxes. We chose to create "Equipment" mailboxes instead of "Room" mailboxes due to the nature of the resource we were configuring. If we create a new meeting invitation using a resource mailbox the first appointment is auto accepted with Approved. If we create a conflicting appointment using the same resource mailbox we receive an auto accepted message stating "Tentative" and not "Declined". We have "allow conflicts" unchecked. When I check the scheduling assistant I don't see this resource because it's only displaying rooms. Is this a known issue with "Equipment" mailboxes? Do you know how I can fix the reply of tentative on a conflict? Thank you in advance.

Hi, Please run get-mailboxcalendarsettings -identity Equipment |fl command in EMS, then post the information on the forum. Thanks Allen

Re-run Set-MailboxCalendarSettings Resource1 -AutomateProcessing:Autoaccept even though it is already set. Re-running the command has helped many instances where double booking was still occurring. Seems to give it another kick in the butt.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com
