End users guide to processing Exchange 2007 room resources/requests
This is most likely the wrong place to put this but I really don't know where to ask this question. I've searched the internet and keep finding information about how to manage a room resource, configure it, add/remove delegates, etc. What I'm trying to find is some form of guide for end users/delegate to teach them how to handle requests/emails which come from the new room resources in Exchange 2007. We primarily have one person that deals with conference rooms and with how things used to be configured in Exchange 2003, conference rooms were mailboxes and all meeting requests sent to those mailboxes all had to be manually approved or denied by this one person. Currently most of our conference rooms are still configured this way because she can't seem to understand the couple of conference rooms that we have created as room resources. One is currently configured so all employees can request the room. If there aren't any conflicts, it gets automatically approved, and if there is a conflict, to send it to the delegate (the person not understanding) for intervention. One of the other room resources we configured so all requests go through the delegate, which it seems she's happy with. My problem with this is when she's out of the office the task is delegated to someone else which in most cases works out fine. Recently though all people that usually are involved in the process were out of the office which lead to numerous problems with conference room booking, except of course for the one room that was automatically approving when no conflicts existed. I would like to avoid this situation in the future and try to teach her how handle a conference room that automatically processes and approves non conflicting requests but in the case of a conflict will send the request to a delegate. Thanks
