Emails take long time to arrived...
Dears, I have a problem with some emails from different domains, that take long time to arrive to my domain. The emails size is not large and some without attachment. Some time a user from the same domain send two emails, then the first email arrived after the second email in long time about two hour and this appearance always happened from many domains. I have exchange server 2003 installed on window server 2003 R2. Thank you in advanced,System Administrator

Hi Ali,~ Track the message with message tracking and make sure that delay is not happening after email reaches to Exchange environment.Exchange 2003 Message Tracking and Logginghttp://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2003-Message-Tracking-Logging.html~ Make sure that unnecessary smart host is NOT configured on SMTP VS.Configuring a Smart Host on a SMTP Virtual Serverhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996082(EXCHG.65).aspx~ Also try with disabling third-party products (like anti-spam, anti-virus etc...) and check the result.~ Make sure that you have reliable connection on port 25 over the internet.Amit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com

Dear Amit, Sorry for lateness, I checked what you demand, then the "smart host" blank and "configure external DNS server" is blank and FQDN is full with exchange server name. I made troubleshooting and found that the delayed emails stored in MX record at ISP, because my exchange server from time to time appeared to MX server at ISP as down. Although the connection is always up. Does exchange server have something make it offline or down? Thank you, Best Regards System Administrator
