Emails stuck Advanced Queue....Can't send any emails...
For some reason without any warning nobody on the network can send any emails. They can't send internal emails nor can they send emails to external addresses. We can receive emails sent from external sources ok. I've checked the message tracking system for the emails and just get the following for each email: - Message Submitted To Advanced Queuing - Started Message Submission To Advanced Queue From the looks of it an emails we send are getting stuck in the Advanced Queue. Normally the third line would detail that it had actually been sent - either to the internal mailbox or the external address. We run GFI MailEssentials v14 however I've tried stopping all of it's services and this made no difference. There are no emails showing up in the Exchange queue viewer either. Can anyone help? some other info: - event viewer is showing no errors - we're running Exchange server 2003 on Win2k with all service packs. thanks in advance!

Check info: 1. Please describe the exchange topology 2. Is there any error/warning event in the application log on the exchange server after reproduced the issue? 3. Could the mail be sent on the exchange server via Telnet? 4. Please follow this article to increase the logging levels that relate to exchange transport component and reproduce the issue, see if theres any related event in the application log? Did you checked all Services. have you tried to restart the Routing Engine? or is there any errors related to dsaccess? Make sure Exchange has good connectivity with DC and GC and if possible run the dcdiag and netdiag tool to make sure no issues with AD. Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

I figured out what was causing the problem - it was GFI MailEssentials (exchange based anti-spam software). After fully uninstalling this everything went back to normal - emails are now working fine. I now need to speak to GFI support to find out why their software was playing up.
