Emails delivered but not received
We are experiencing some very strange behavior with Exchange 2007 recently. It appears that a handful of messages sent to one account are not received by the end user. Message tracking in Exchange shows that the messages are received and delivered, but they never show up in the users's Inbox. There are no rules that would affect any of the missing messages, and none of the missing messages appear in the Inbox, the Junk E-Mail folder, the Deleted Items folder, or anywhere else that I could think of in Outlook. We have tried using Outlook 2007, Outlook 2010, and OWA. Only a handful of messages get lost. All the messages are received from outside the organization. However, messages are not lost based on sender's domain. We can see through our message tracking that the message has been delivered to the users mailbox, but the user doesnt receive any mail. cheers KK

Which clients has the user used to connect to the mailbox? A home machine? A mobile device? You'll need to check those. Also check Recoverable Deleted Items.Ed Crowley MVP "There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

Hi Ed, We are using the exchange 2007 server in the domain and the users using the domain exchange to sync the mail and they using the outlook 2007. When we received emails from the outside organisation it comes through successfully except when our server distributes the email within the domain thats when the doesnt get to the mailbox. Much appreciate your assistance. Thank you K

-- Check for Anti virus in the Client -- Even this might cause because of corruption in the mailbox as Tracking Say , Delivered to Mailbox -- Try moving the mailbox to a different Store - Check if that helps -- Are those mails are with attachments - anything common with those emails ? -- Any Outlook Add ins ?Satheshwaran Manoharan | Exchange 2003/2007/2010 | Blog:http://www.careexchange.in | Please mark it as an answer if it really helps you

Hi Satheshwaran, Thank you for your input. we have disabled the anti virus (using ESET) on the client side and there's no attachment to the emails no rules either. i will move the mailbox to the different store and will see if that helps. Thank you K
