Emails being deleted from Outlook
Hi A user of ours has just moved to a new PC. We set up their Outlook 2007 profile on the PC and set them to cached mode (as per normal). However, new emails seem to be being deleted strangely. We checked in OWA, and the mails had disappeared from there too. We checked Deleted Items, but they weren't in there, strangely they were in the Recover Deleted Items! We could restore them, and we swapped him to Online with Exhange (2007) where this didn't happen, but we're worried about switching him back to Cached in case this happens again. Any idea on what was causing this? To confirm - No rules to delete new items - No setting to move items to Personal Folders - No Managed Folder Policy to do this either I am stumped! Any ideas?

Corrupt cached ost files have caused strange issues in the past. Delete his ost files in his outlook profile then try putting him back into cached mode.James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Hi, At first, I suggest you running outlook /cleanrules to clean any rule that will delete the emails. Then go to Tools -->Options ----> Junk Email 1. Uncheck " Permenentaly delete suspected junk email instead of moving it to the Junk Email folder " 2. Set the Junk level to low. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
