Email stuck in the Outbox folder of Outlook 2007
As title, when user tried to send a mail to another user within the same organization, the mail stuck in his Outbox and could not be delivered. However, mail sent after this mail by the same user could be delivered normally. User tried pressing Send/Receive button a few times and the issue remained. Some background information: Mail Server: Exchange 2007 SP2 Mail Client: Outlook 2007 SP2 Online mode Client OS: Windows XP SP2

What is the size of the message? What is your message size limit on transport? Does user have a personal limit on "message send size"?

I have a similar issue. On further investigation it wasn't anything to do with size, attachment, domain, etc. The problem only occurs when the user was using the "Send To" function, either through an Officeapplication (Work, Excel, etc)or the Explorer shell. Creating a new message through Outlook itself does not show the problem. We are still testing butbelieve that the problem is related to a third party add-In with in Outlook which is causing the e-mail message to be malformed when it is created. Try and run Outlook in safe mode (so that no add-ins are loaded)and see if the problem still exists, in our case the problem goes away. But as I said we are still investigating.

Temporary solution There is a temporary solution. Restart Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology Service. It works until the problem starts again. This really works. Exchange can send and receive email again.

Did you get a reply with instructions how to restart the Microsoft Exchange Active Directory Topology? And is it safe to do so?
