Email sent via OWA from USA, not received in UK...?

Hello.

I'm 99% sure I sent an email via my company's OWA from the USA to our office in the UK.  My office says they never received it.  I could have

I am no longer with the company, and am attempting to direct them to its whereabouts on their own servers, or a record of my accessing their OWA servers on the said date.  They would like me to reproduce a copy of the original email, so I have a simple set of questions.

Does OWA 'timeout' and delete emails altogether if they aren't actually sent?  Since I cannot access Sents, Drafts or Outboxes, is the email (or any record of it) retrievable?  Is it possible to get a record of my accessing their OWA?

Many thanks in advance,

Jay

Hi ,

On the end (i.e USA) you just need to ensure that the email which you have sent has successfully sent from the hop which is residing between your exchange and internet .

You can make use of message tracking logs to verify that the email which is sent by you has successfully crossed the last hop in the network (i.e USA).If so then we have to do message tracking on the smart host which is residing on UK .

Based on my knowledge owa timeout will not delete the newly composed email and it will save the email on the Drafts when the owa session gets timed out .

Is it possible to get a record of my accessing their OWA?

I hope we can make use of IIS logs on exchange server.

Hi,

I agree with S.Nithyanandham. In your side, please make sure the message has been send out. Please confirm the message was listed in Sent Items instead of Drafts folder, Outbox or other folders. And there is no DNR returned for message sending failure report.

If the message has been sent out with an Exchange account, we can search the message tracking logs with specific Subject to check the message activities:
