Email in outlook gets stuck in the outbox folder and does not send - Restart outlook and they disappear but have not sent.

Hi there,

I seem to be having an issue where emails are getting stuck within the outlook outbox folder within outlook 2010 - I've had this problem afew times with users throughout our business. 

The email tends to hang within the outbox and will not send by any means necessary, which then forces me to restart outlook on the clients machine, then the emails that were sitting in the outbox disappear and theirs no trace of them what so ever within the sent items. In this instance, I have also performed a message trace through our online exchange portal and confirmed that no emails had been sent from that user during this time period.

We are using exchange online with office 365 - I have also logged this with microsoft support afew months ago, but they told me that this was a known issue with Microsoft and didn't really have any other information to give me and then closed the ticket, only to leave me stranded with the issue again. 

If anyone does have any information in regards to this or any known fixes, your help would be much appreciated as its very frustrating losing emails and having your whole day wasted because you have lost a days work due to this problem.
