We currently have a NT domain with Exchange 5.5. We have looked into upgrading our domain before but the license cost was always a brick wall. We are now investigating a staggered migration.What we are looking at is testing this setup up with a new domain with Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2070/2010. I'm hoping to setup a trust relationship between the two domains but I've read Exchange 2070 will not talk to Exchange 5.5 so I need some kind of solution. Is it possible to setup Exchange 5.5 to forward mail for user to Exchange 2008 and also setup Exchange 2008 to use the Exchange 5.5 server to send mails out (and possibly keep user mailboxes on both servers)?Thanks.
