Email domain getting changed
I have a very odd issue. I am running Exchange 2003. I have installed Outlook 2010 on serveral peoples computers and have not had any problems. One of my VP's ran into a very strange problem. If she sends an email to someone outside of the company and CC's someone internally the domain on the address gets changed to the domain of my host provider. I have checked and rechecked her account and can't see what is causing it. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thanks....

It may be the ISP that's rewriting the address, too (I'm assuming you're using them as a smart host). --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi, First, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. Are both the VP’s address and the internal users’ address changed or only the VP’s address changed? I’m assuming your host domain name is contoso.com and the VP’s email address is VP@abc.com. Do you mean the email address is changed to VP@contoso.com? 2. If VP only sends email outside of the company without CC any other email address, does the issue persist? 3. Does the issue occur when using Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007? Meanwhile, please post the problematic email’s Internet Headers here for research.
