Email address incorrect when sending by 3rd party app
Hi all,I have a very strange situation happening with emails been sent from one 3rd party application. When the application sends an email out to the requested user, the domain name, in the display is cut off and appended at the beginning of the user's email address... very confusing to explain it also..Here is an example : user(user@domainname.comsame for display) send'shimself an email. When this usersends himself the email he gets the following :user@ (display) and domainname.comuser@domainname.com (email address)... Basically, the domain name in the display seems to get cut and appended to the user's email address. This started happening once we have completed our Exchange 2007 migration. When this was running with Exchange 2003, this issue was not present....For the puprose of this application, I created a connector with the following configuration :AuthMechanism : Tls, ExternalAuthoritativePermissionGroups : ExchangeServersDefaultDomain : no value. The smtpreceive logs shows the correct email address been addressed by the Message Tracking log, shows the newly formatted email address. Our Exchange 2007 is set has following :Windows 2008 Standard SP1 / Exchange Standard 2007 SP1 (Cummulative rollup 5).The 3rd party app, uses the Hello command to send messages out.If the issue is not clear, plzzz don,t hesitate to ask for clarifications.Hope that somebody can help me with this strange issue.... I am running out of ideas.Alesandro

Hi,When an email is been sent from this application, the recipient email address is in the incorrect format. This started only happening when we moved to Exchange 2007.
