Email Search is not working correctly on Mailboxes ?
Dear Colleagues , I am using exchange 2007 SP3 with update rollup 7 . Users report that email searching is not correct (e.g : they see 3 emails titled "Box" but their search only returns 2). I took below steps : 1- run "resetsearchindex.ps1 dbname " to reset the index for the problematic db. 2- checked the counter "Full Crawl mode status " for the desire db which had a value of 0 , meaning the the crawling has finished . At this stage contacted the user and still had problem 3- checked that " Microsoft Exchange Search Indexer " service is running 4- run "Get-MailboxDatabase |ft Name,IndexEnabled " which returned TRUE 5- run "Test-ExchangeSearch -Identity user@domain.com " for the specific user but returned FALSE with search time of -1 these instructions were from below link (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123701(v=exchg.80)) What extra steps should I take to overcome this problem ? Any advise is appreciated .
