Editing received emails

When I open an email in the Outlook 2010 inbox, there are only two tabs on the ribbon, File & Message.

I like to convert large HTML emails to plain text to keep the pst size down, which involves clicking

1.  the drop down list against "Actions" in the "Move" box on the ribbon under the "Message" tab
2.  "Edit Message"
3.  one of the formatting options (HTML, Rich Text or Plain Text) in the "Format" box

Is there a way I can force the ribbon to display a third tab when I open an email sitting in the inbox, viz. "Format Text"?

Cheers,

Hi Joe,

I tested your requirement in my environment (Windows 7, Outlook 2010), as shown in the following figure you can add the Format Text tab:

But please note that all the options in Format Text tab are grayed out.

I suppose these options are worked for editing mode, but not read mode.

Hope it's helpful.
