Edgesync issue
Hi all, I've an Exchange 2007 made by a frontend (edge) and a backend (all other roles). When I try to add a user account or a distribution group in BE, and I test it sending an email from the Internet, FE reject the email with "User unknown" message. I know that an edge synchronization is needed and it isn't in real time, but I tried to wait up to two days but I get the same error. No errors in event viewer. I performed a start-edgesynchronization command on BE (the script detects the new item, so I see Added: 1) and tried to resend the email, but I get the same error. The only way to work is: 1) Create the account or distribution group on BE 2) Go to Exchange Power Shell console and start Start-EdgeSynchronization 3) Go to FE and restart the ADAM service so now it works. Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot!Piero Bacarella - IT Professional - Rome(Italy) - http://www.it-resources.info

Have you subscribed the Edge onto the Hub? Take a look at this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd897094.aspx.

Jose, sure I've subscribed the edge :-) I found the solution! In the firewall between the Edge and the Hub I allowed just the ports 25 and 443. So I added the 50389 and 50636 (as described into http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526574.aspx ) and now it works well. Thanks everybody!
