EXCH 2003 Front End server and OWA viewing problem
We currently have a Exchange 2003 server environment which consists of two clustered servers. As part of evaluating some mobile strategies we are starting to look at OWA. As part the the cluster we have the ability the connect to Http://<server>\exchange and get OWA, but that is connecting to our clustered backend servers. The view of the is fine. But we attempted to build another exchange server and configure it to be a Front End server. But when we got to http:/<new fron end server>\exchange, the view of OWA never comes up fully and it is a bit distorted. All servers are Windows 2003. Any thoughts as to what me may be doing wrong? Mismatched patch levels I expect. That is the usual cause of problems. The frontend server isn't patched to the same level as the backend server. The frontend should always be the same or higher than the backend. If it is a new installation that is probably the cause. The quick and dirty method to compare patch versions is to look at the exchweb directory on the two versions. Ideally they should be identical in version numbers.
