EX2010 - Equipment Resources Set Up

Hello,

A couple months ago, we began using Room Resources for our conference room scheduling. We now want to set up equipment resourcing for our projectors and other items.

I have tried performing a few web searches for an equipment resource set up guide, but haven't found anything yet. Does the process basically mimic the room resource set up or is there more to it?

I hope someone can point me in the direction of a guide or fill me in. Thanks!

Yes, essentially both are same and commonly called Resource Mailboxes. Please find the link to do various tasks for resource (room or equipment) mailboxes...

Equipment mailboxes are very similar to resource mailboxes in their setup and management. There isn't a "equipment list" option like there is to have Room Lists in the GAL.  You can basically use the same setup processes.

Both an Equipment or Room mailbox can be set up to automatically process incoming meeting requests and send replies

Neither an equipment/conference room mailbox cannot be given a personal archive

By default, an equipment/conference room mailbox is disabled for login in Active Directory.

The differences are pretty slight:

Thank you for your replies.

Is there a way to create an Equipment-type Room List for the Equipment Mailboxes I have created? I noticed you cannot add an Equipment Resource the room list I created and I need these resources to have the ability to be scheduled.

Unfortunately there are "room" lists for equipment mailboxes.  You could create a regular distribution list (a user could pick out of the address book and expand), but it won't show up in the "Room Picker" or anything like that.
