EX07 Setup Error: The Exchange Server is in an inconsistent state. Only disaster recovery mode is a available
Hi All, Beginner in Exchange Server. (Exchange Server 2007 Std Sp1 running in Server 2003 x64 SP2) Due to receive connector error & corrupt database i had to reinstate the above configuration, uninstalling wasn't successful. Now, I Re-installed Server 2003 x64 SP2 Successfully but when i started the setup to re-install Exchange Server 2007, it gives the below error, The Exchange Server is in an inconsistent state. Only disaster recovery mode is a available I have another server running has DC & DNS. Do i need to change the name of the exchange server?? or ADSI Edit.. please advice with a step by step process.. Thanks azmath

It's probably best to delete the Exchange server out of the directory using ADSIedit then run setup.com /preparead again before doing the install.

You will need to log on as the local administrator account and add it to the domain again.
