EX07 Export-Mailbox Error
Exchange 2007 SP1 I have a large Journal mailbox I've had since 5.5. I want to split up the mailbox into smaller mailboxes based on year. One storage group with one database with one mailbox that holds yearly data. This way I can back them up dismount the DB and hopefully forget about them. If I need to search them I can always bring them on -lineIn addition the backup and restore time reduces greatly on the main active journal mailbox. I configured the SG's and DB's and Mailboxes and gave the domain admin Full Access Rights to the source mailbox and traget mailboxes along with adding Administrator to the Exchange Admin group. If I use the following command everything goes well. Export-Mailbox -id "Source MB" -startdate "date" -enddate "date" -targetfolder "Target Foldername" -targetmailbox "Target MB" When I add the -deletecontent parameter I get the following error found in the log. [2/6/2008 9:59:36 AM] [0] [ERROR] Error was found for Exchange Journal (ExchangeJournal@SCWA.com) because: Error occurred in the step: Moving messages. Failed to copy messages to the destination mailbox store with error: An unknown error has occurred., error code: -1056749164[2/6/2008 9:59:36 AM] [0] [ExchangeJournal] The operation has finished. It says 'failed to copy the messages' but that's not true. It copied the messages but doesn't delete the source content. The same log also lists all the messages and states '...will be deleted...' for each one. I waited for the default on line maintenance to occur thinking it would clean up the source mailbox but it does not. Does anyone have any ideas?? I have my yearly review today so I'd appreciate any and all input. Thanks Dennis
