EX. 2007 mailbox new mail goes to Deleted Items
Moved an existing 2003 mailbox to 2007 and all new emails goes to Deleted Items. Works correctly as 2003 but not as 2007. It started out as a 2007 Room mailbox that migrated back to 2003 then back to 2007 as a User mailbox. Is there a setting I need to change?

Hi, This is because the mailbox moved from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 became marked with Autoaccept instead of Autoupdate. Now please run set-mailbox -identity "user mailbox" -Automateprocessing autoupdate in EMS After that, please check this issue. Thanks Allen

Allen, IhadUnregistered resource mailbox from Ex 03Then moved toex 07. Then I converted the mailbox to type room by running set-mailboxcalendarsettings -identity "user mailbox" -type room. After that I made it to Auto Accept set-mailboxcalendarsettings -identity "user mailbox" -automateprocessing:autoaccept What I have noticed is any update that I do on existing meetings it dosen't get Auto Accept reply. If i create new meeting request then I get acceptance. Also I get acceptance if I change this new meeting. But old meeting doesn't get reply nor it updates the calendar of he resource. What am I missing? Thanks Hemal Doshi

I've recently had 2 instances where a user's mailbox has had it's automateprocessing value set to autoaccept somehow. The issue surfaced because the users reported no new emails. Upon further inspection, I found that the messages were getting immediately deleted. These people have been with us for several years and are heavy email/blackberry users - so I know it is a recent thing. (One started this past Thursday, one this morning).I have a ticket open with microsoft, but no info yet. These mailboxes were migrated from E2003, but were never set as room/resource mailboxes. Any ideas what might be flipping them over? From the Exchange shell, it doesn't allow you to set this property unless you've already converted the mailbox to a room type. We're using a Blackberry server, BackupExec 12, and Symantec Enterprise Vault, so there are quite a few hooks into Exchange. The only recent change was a tighter restriction on message size on the previous Tuesday...thoughts?Rafael

I'm having the exact same issue. Starting just a few days ago, we have seen 4 user mailboxes do this, 1 of which did it twice the same day. The EMS command is easy enough to run to fix it, but I need to know why this is happening and how to prevent it from happening again. We also use a BES (although only 1 of the affected users is a BlackBerry user) and Backup Exec 12.5. These users have been on this Exchange 2007 server for almost a full year.We use WSUS, and sometimes forget to approve updates, but this seem to happen shortly after mass-approving updates. I know it could be a coincedence, but do you know if this happened after applying any Outlook specific patches?-DerekSr System Engineer
