EWS Error Can not get Exchange 2010 to connect to Outlook 2011 for Mac
Everything else works. OWA works. Activesync works. I read that Macs use EWS to connect. attempted to access localhost/ews/exchange.asmx and received the following message. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Server Error in '/EWS' Application.
Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Directory, Version=14.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Seems like you're using RTM, I'd upgrade to SP2 and then test again.Sukh

Hi
Reset the EWS Virtual Directory from EMS
Remove-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity "server\ews (Default Web Site)"
New-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -WebsiteName "Default Web Site" -InternalUrl "https://Sites/EWS/Exchange.asmx" -basicauthentication 1 -windowsauthentication 1
After that, please perform IISreset /noforce on the server and try again
