EMails not forwarded with Outlook Rule

Hello,

with Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2010 we have the following issue with a forwarding rule configured in Outlook.

User wishes, that all mails are forwarded, when he's on holiday. This works for internal mails and mails directly sent to user@domainA.com.

But the rule doesn't forward emails, which are forwarded from another Exchange Organization to this user:

- Mail goes to user@domainB.com. DomainB.com is hosted "external" and the user Exchange mailbox at domainB has configured a forwarding to user@domainA.com

- Mail arrives at user@domainA.com, but isn't forwarded by the Outlook rule

- The Outlook rule is configured to forward every mail to a recipient in the same organization (domainB), but it doesn't work ...

Thank you for your help

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

From the description, this issue only happens with emails forwarded to you from an external user, correct?

Does this issue happen with all users or just a certain one?

Please try creating the forwarding rule within OWA and then test if this issue persists.

We can also try testing via setting the ForwardingSMTPAddress parameter on a mailbox to see the result. See:

Please let me know the result.
