EMS exbpacmd errors

I have some error's that may need to be resolved and need some feedback. Some info has been removed. I'm not so concerned
about the 2003 Exchange Server as it will be removed.

I'm more concerned about the new 2010 server and issues that should keep it from production.

			Hi,

Where do you get above error messages? Are they from EMS?

First, I suggest you install Service Pack 1 and all latest updates for Exchange server 2010 to check the result.

If the issue persists, please check whether there is any error message in Event Log. If so, please post it here for research.

Thanks.

The Server is fully patched! Both the O/S and Exchange were fully completed prior to this.

I wanted to ensure that EVERYTHING was fully updated, prior to moving all mailboxes and using it in full production.

I’m concerned about the WMI errors and this one…..search SELECT * FROM Exchange_FolderTree on scope root\MicrosoftExchangeV2 on server.

My event logs show mostly show “Couldn't find an Exchange 2010 or later public folder server with a replica for the free/busy folder:”

I should be able to fix this one after I move the public folders to the 10 server.

I am not bothering with any of the Exchange 03 messages.

Did you try to update the Exbpa? Cause 2.8 is the latest update.
Make sure you download the latest update for Exbpa, when you do check for update in Exbpa, and if there is any update available than download the install it.
For your latest post...
Make sure you reboot the sever before you start the migration.

When going directly to the file it is version 14.01.0218.011.

You are certified, then you know running BPA from the EMC is able to update itself prior to running a scan? It updates on each start. I am not running a stand alone Analyzer. There does not seem to be complelling information to do so. If you have a reason
to run the stand alone Analyzer for Small business server please share it.

No. ExBPA on Exchange server 2010 and Exchange 2007 need not update itself. ExBPA version 2.8 is only applied to Exchange 2003. For more information, please refer
 to the following article:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=dbab201f-4bee-4943-ac22-e2ddbd258df3&displaylang=en

At this stage, I would like to confirm whether ExBPA can be run in Toolbox from EMC. Is there any error message?

Based on my test in my lab, I found that the “WMI Search” error also exists on my machine. By default, the ExBPACmd runs all categories and some of WMI
search is run in background which should be ignored. To detect any real problem, it’s recommended to run ExBPA in GUI interface.

Thanks.

			Novak,
I run ExBPA from the EMC toolbox. It checks for updates when starting, this should only help and seems fine.

			James, yes and no.
It seems to be a non issue in that if corrections were made to security and certs then the client validates these errors are still present and do not seem to impact the the client.
I am chasing another issue right now and when finished I will rerun the test again. for now this is unresolved.
