I recently upgraded my OS from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Professional and from Windows Mail to Outlook 2010.  The problem is I believe my old .eml files are in my Windows.old folder, and I have no idea how to get some of the important mail from Windows Mail to Outlook 2010 after the fact.  I no longer have a version of Windows Mail, so how do I go about getting my .eml files into Outlook 2010?  Thx.

Outlook doesn't use EML files. From Windows Mail, use File, Export. Choose Exchange Server (it exports to Outlook). You will need to be using 32 bit Outlook to do this.

Sally, thanks for responding, but it really didn't help as I no longer have Windows Mail on my PC since I moved to Windows 7 (unless it is hidden on my PC and I don't know it).  Is there another way to get those EML files?  Thx.

Hi,

You have replaced advanced Windows7 from Vista Operating system in your system. And you have EML file of Windows Vista. So, you have a need tool that can transfer all old .EML files into Outlook 2010 .PST.
